- Romania is unilateraly stopping the militaries operations against Union Nations (1944). The registered loosings on the east battle field between 22 june 1941 and 23 august 1944 had been near 624.740 militaries, which 71.585 deaths, 243.622 hurts, 309.533 missings.

(r) Voicu Ţugurel THE FIRST BOOK PUBLISHED IN THE "HEROES MEMORY" COLLECTION The National Office for Heroes Memory initiated and realized the project of a book collection designed to bring out new information about Romanian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Independence War (1877-1878) and the two world wars. The first book of the "Heroes Memory" collection belongs to Colonel (retired) Voicu Tugurel, former Romanian military attache in Czechoslovakia. The book "Mission accomplished" releases many new details on Czech and Slovak places where Romanian soldiers were buried. Ed. TOTAL Publishing, Bucharest, 2005 PRIN JERTFĂ - PENTRU EUROPA...* Septimiu Roman The book "Through Sacrifice - to Europe... " has been authored by Septimiu Roman, radio reporter with the station Radio Romania Actualitati. This work is the outlet of the trip made by the author in April 2005, together with a N.O.H.M. team, alongside the road of the Romanian soldiers during the Western Campaign in the Second World War. The first part of this book consists of survivors' reports, while the second gathers together several interviews with officials and historians, comemorating 60 years since the Second World War ended. The print of this book has happily increased the impact of Roman's radio reports made during his trip. Ed.
