- The Romanians troops by the Cerna group commanded by the Ion Dragalina general, is liberating Orsiva ( 1916).
- Romania is unilateraly stopping the militaries operations against Union Nations (1944). The registered loosings on the east battle field between 22 june 1941 and 23 august 1944 had been near 624.740 militaries, which 71.585 deaths, 243.622 hurts, 309.533 missings.

August 25
- The Romanian troops are liberating the Ditrau and Gherogheni regions (1916)

August 26
- The Miercurea Ciuc region is liberated by the North Army troops.

August 27
- Has place the Selimbar battle, near Sibiu, won by the Romanian first army ( 1916)
- Is dieying the marschall Constantin Prezan( 1943)

August 30
- The Romanian/Russian troops are participating at the the third Plevna battle under the Carol the First the romanian commander; the romanians are conquesting the Grivita nr.1

August 31
- Romania had ratified the Laussanne Conference in matter of the Bosfor and Dardanele narrows regime and the peace treat with Turkey (1924)

There is also the tradition of respecting foreign citizens' tombs, buried on our country territory, no matter they were our allies or enemies. The impact of the disastruos First World War was reflected in mass-media, the commemoration of fallen on the national altar (almost 300.000 Romanian soldiers) was legally established. Thus, in Romania, on 12-nd of september 1919 was foundated the Society of the Fallen Heroes' tombs, under the protection of Queen Mary and it was led by the Patriarch. In 1927 on the grounds of the Low with regard to the legal regime of war tombs in Romania, the institution changed its name into Heroes' cult Society, becoming in 1940 The National Seed Queen Mary for Heroes' Memory. Working hard, The Seed Heroes' Memory succeded in lying out hundreds of cemeteries and monuments/memorials in almost the whole places in Great Romania. In 1948 The Seed was broken up, heroes' cult being considerated only the sovietic heroes and the antifascist warriors, even the Unknown Hero's Tomb being displaced in 1959 from Carol I Park (Bucharest) to Marasesti. In 1975, the regime of memorials was ruled by new regulation, which was in force till recently (2003). Year 1990 represents the beginning of resurection process of this veritable heroes' memory idea. In 1991 the Unknown hero's tomb was removed in the Capital, and in 1995 Heroes' Day was proclaimed National Commemoration Day. Recently, trough foundating the National Office for Heroes' Memory, on the grounds of the Law no. 379/2003 with regard to the regime of memorial and G. D. no 635/2004 it was created the legal frame for weighing anchor and continuing the national tradition in this sensitive domain interrupted 60 years ago, and in the same time being in line with the international regulation.
